My friends old computer could access games that most ppl would drop from and he couldnt host
He got a new computer, had all the same crap, and was able to host but couldnt join certain games
O And yes routers and modems can also affect hosting probabillitys, and WHY THE HECK DO U NEED 2 ROUTERS?
I already told you, I have the FioS one for getting internet, and I have the Linksys one for actually playing, if we don't have the Linksys one, we get like 80-95% loss.
1. DHCP
2. The FioS one is 192.168.1.1, while the Linksys one is 192.168.1.2
3. I don't know.
4. I am Wired. My brother is wireless and his hosting works fine.
5. I don't understand what you mean. You say to go to CMD and type in C:\tracert http://forum.wc3edit.net. But it doesn't do anything. It says it doesn't recognize.
Ok, so since your bro is able to host you should be able to.
Ok, now look at your bro's game port setting and your game port setting.
One of you should do a 6112 and the other 6113 or up to 6119.
Now you need to forward one port to one computer, and the other port to the other. You may need to do this on both routers, not to sure how you have it set up right now.
If this doesn't work we may need to static ip your computers for your router.
Do you support Durchdringen? If so, add the spoiler to your sig. Durch cares for you, so show your support for Durch!

Sorry? I don't know how. Oh, maybe you mean I should have 6119, and he should have 6112?

"tracert wc3edit.net" should do the job
go to the wc3 options and set the port to 1337
now go to the routers panel (the FioS one, 192.168.1.1 link) and forward it (port 1337) to your local ip!
you are done!
