It's the CD, obviously, otherwise it wouldn't bother starting.Georgemots wrote:Apparently your Cd is damaged or ur PC is crap.
And if you argue, here's a main point - it keeps crashing at the same file, therefore the CD.

Think again, if the PC is crap then it would take ages for the Mpq file to be installed, cause it a huge file, but i have some questions...Selvanus wrote:It's the CD, obviously, otherwise it wouldn't bother starting.Georgemots wrote:Apparently your Cd is damaged or ur PC is crap.

It still wouldn't crash at the same exact file. It doesn't matter whether your computer is bad or not, it would still install, but it wouldn't run. If he didn't have the correct drivers, it would say that in the beginning. If he didn't have the requirements for WC3 Lowest Graphics, it wouldn't install. So, it's obviously the cd. And you say it's the biggest file, all the more reason it's corrupted instead of something small.Georgemots wrote:Think again, if the PC is crap then it would take ages for the Mpq file to be installed, cause it a huge file, but i have some questions...Selvanus wrote:It's the CD, obviously, otherwise it wouldn't bother starting.Georgemots wrote:Apparently your Cd is damaged or ur PC is crap.

Anyways, onto the point. If your computer is too bad, which, I doubt, you need a new one or new pieces. If your cd is scratched, which, I think is the case, you need a new cd.

Use torrents, download warcraft III, use daemon tools, install warcraft III.

That works also, since it's not really stealing, since you have the cd - just that no one knows that it's broken...Sepharael wrote:I figured that, except I just torrented the cd image and installed.

You may need the mini image to run the game, I don't remember if you can run right off of the actual CD image or not. I may be thinking of Alcohol 120% though instead of Daemon. Unless you went ahead and downloaded a no-cd patch, but I personally rather do images. Either way, its cool you got it back working, saved you a few bucks at least.
