Just open the xdep.ini file located in the xdep folder looks like this -

inmapfile = mymap.w3x
outmapfile = deprotected.w3x

just change where it says mymap to anything you want (NOT inmapfile) all changes after the "="

Maybe you have a crappy PC or you should try to use a different WE.

I unprotected a map, and made the changes, and when i tried to host it, it took about 5 seconds for anyone to get 1 percent!!!!! I tried this several times...
I used the optimizer, and it lowered the map size by a WHOPPIN' 6%

What am i doing wrong? i checked all the options that looked like they might help, and then i did the rest of the things, but it wont help....
