I used -xp 999999999 and it promoted me to general and I could get all the people, maybe you just got to wait a bit or something? pick the mode first or w/e

Yeah I did. I picked a mode, picked a hero, then did -cheat to activate all teh cheats, then did -xp 80000

Edit: Ok, the problem is that I was using the wrong map. It wasnt showing up in the list when I created the game. I changed the filename of the map (heard someone tell someone to do that once I think) and it showed up. I was able to get it to work.

I have downloaded this map and put it in my maps folder, but am unable to find it on the list in game, please help!

The reason is because the map file name is too long, just shorten it and it will show...
