This is just a short guide on how to name spoof in Reforged.
Battletags are client-sided and can be changed through a simple string scan in Cheat Engine.
This can be useful when you want to host a cheated map in multiplayer without revealing your real nickname or you want to evade a map ban.
DISCLAIMER: I hold no responsibility if you get reported and CD key blocked by Blizzard altough this is unlikely considering the current state of game.
3. Open CE and select Warcraft III.exe process.Note: Optionally open game in windowed mode so you don't have to alt-tab.
4. Change value type to String and input your full Battletag.
Spoiler:
5. Play around with game menu, change options etc while doing next scan a few times to decrease number of addresses.
6. CTRL+A select all addresses and change their value to desired name.Note: Sometimes your new battletag might need to be of same or longer string length or parts of your old one may appear.
Spoiler:
7. If your new battletag doesn't appear in general or lobby chat, this is where W3C comes into play. Simply change your region in network filter from one to another and vice versa.
Spoiler:
This isn't permanent, you will need to do this every time you start game.
Few images of how it appears from yours and other player's perspective:
I tried and although in ORPG game (save/load map) successfully hosted using a spoofed username... but then game freezes on me after I tried to re-load.

If you took someone elses name you have to make sure you got the #tag right as well.
It worked fine for me on several RPG maps which use code gen save systems, maybe the one you tried uses codeless one?
