Map Name: ServantWar 1.05
Map Link:
Request: I would like to be able to open the map in WorldEdit and change the terrain and still be able to play the map. I dont need to change anything else about the game, only the terrain.
I have managed to open the map in WorldEdit by following a guide on this site, but after i have changed the terrain, player slots doesnt show in game.
If anyone is able to do this for me i will be very happy. Some of my friends and i used to play this map all the time back in the day and we would love to try it with a new map terrain. Thanks in advance!
*This is my first post here, so i hope i am doing this right. Feel free to tell med if im breaking any rules.

I dont think i did, at least not on purpose.Vegas wrote:Did you extract the .w3e file from this map?
I followed this guide: tutorials-cheatpacks-f80/restoring-corr ... 36053.html
By doing that i can open the map in the editor, but when i make a change in the terrain and tries to save the map it ask med if it should place staring locations. I am not able to say no, so i pres yes. Then when i try to play the map (and this is where i wrote the wrong thing in my post), i am able to play, but the map is just covered in fog of war and unplayable.

Re: [DP] ServantWar 1.05
Try this, it might work:
Extract w3e from your map using a mpq editor.
Open World Editor and create a new blank map.
Import your w3e from earlier.
Edit the map as you wish.
Save, or export the updated w3e.
Insert the edited w3e into the original map.
In the mpq editor you might have to flush the map.
This may or may not work. If you decide to slap up a bunch of trees where a spawn point is then you could break the map. I think.

It worked!!! That is great, thank you so much!!!
I made and saved a new map, used MPQ editor to import the w3e, wpm, doo and shd files. I made a slight change to the terrain, (added som cliffs) and put the files back inside the original map. For some reason the file became a mpq file, but i remembered from the guide that the program i think is called w3x2Ini could make them into a w3x file. And then it worked. I tested the map and it played perfectly with the terrain changes!
You are a true hero, now my friends and i can play some more ServantWar!
