Well a friend told me, the map is in chinese, because he is a asian guy from China.
Here is the original map. He was helping me to translate this but, seems like it will take a long time, because of his business.

Ok. I'll look, but my Windows is acting funny. I can't install Dot Net, I can't use Windows update. I can't install my translate software. I can't use most Warcraft programs. GRRRR.

Ahh ok. Open it in Unicode-UTF-8. You can then take the Chinese text into Google translate.

translating the WTS is the easiest. You can copy and paste entire pages into Google and then copy it back to the original WTS. The abilities would be more time consuming. You will have to copy and paste each chinese sentence.

It takes a lot of time, I know, but will be well worth it in the end.

It's been a long time, but didn't we have a program that would put all texts into the WTS (Strings) file? This could make it superfast to do.

I have the fix.

Open up World Editor and import war3map.w3a under Object Editor
On the main editor click file, export strings.
This text in the *.wts (strings) can now be easily translated in Google translate. Unfortunately you can only edit around 230 lines at a time.
Just keep copying, pasting, translating, and pasting back into the original file, overwriting the Chinese text with the English.

Save your file after each paste. It's also a good idea to import your strings into the map to make sure you didn't screw up the formatting.
*Do not navigate through the abilities and/or edit any abilities while you are still translating. Every time there is an ability edit, the strings add another number, goofing up your saved work.

If you are looking to translate the whole map you would have to deprotect it and be able to edit it in WE. I think to play this map properly you would need to do this.

Here is a sneak peek after translating a small portion.

OMG thanks! for this awesome tip.
I will try this tomorrow.

Edit: After translating the new wts, Should I import those strings in WE?. or is not necessary?

Hi... I have a question... When I open the .j for translating more content of the map. I find lines like this

Code: Select all

call TransmissionFromUnitWithNameBJ(bj_FORCE_ALL_PLAYERS,vT,"如来佛祖",null,"下面开启决斗模式!决斗时间1小时!",0,0,true)
Exist a way to read this?. :?:

Copy that text and paste it in a *.txt file.
Open in MS word, Unicode UTF-8
Copy THAT text with the chinese symbols into Google translate.
Easy!

call TransmissionFromUnitWithNameBJ (bj_FORCE_ALL_PLAYERS, vT, "Buddha", null, "following open duel mode! duel time one hour!", 0,0, true)
