Re: [Fukki] Warlock 1.01b
I gotta be honest. I was too lazy to look for the root of the problem, I might look into it in the future. But I did make a solution.
For now it is a simple one. I might update in the future.
After you pick your modes, write "-start"
Only red has that. I checked and I got to pick 1 out of 3 characters I think (and a random?) and I was transferred to an arena.
Again, since I tested alone and I don't play this map I am not sure what should or should NOT happen. So as before, just let me know.

Tested Alone,Works fine in some ways. Good Job! I know this is not Easy!!
Haxo do you know what causes its crash? Like when i tried to rebuild/optimize/etc..
is there somekind of alogrithm on maps hashsize or its on jass anticheats.

Only thing I changed was in jass. The anti cheats are spread in the war3map.j file.NumberXIII wrote:Tested Alone,Works fine in some ways. Good Job! I know this is not Easy!!

I must admit that as a member of Warlock team I find it entertaining to observe your efforts here.
It is a pity that WC3 is not very important now, because after reading this I have some ideas how to protect the map in interesting ways. That would surely be a fun technical challenge.
The first that comes to mind is to implement an execution environment like a simple JVM in JASS, then compile the actual game into bytecode that runs on that VM.

You made an account because I cheated the map? I must say I do feel honored.Adynathos wrote:I must admit that as a member of Warlock team I find it entertaining to observe your efforts here.

I don't see where the pity comes from, I always liked cheating warlock due to the challenge it gives and I always wonder how you place those anti-cheats, or even think of them in the first place.
And if my memory serves, the one who started protected warlock maps in the beginning was a member (super moderator) of this forum, Shamanno1, And after he was no longer active, there was another member here from the warlock team making chit-chat about the cheated maps, like saying next time he will up the difficulty of the anti-cheats and so on...
I gotta say I find this entertaining I usually cheats maps for the challenge of it. It is very nice to see what people came up with and how flexible jass can be if you use your mind correctly. As long as it is done with a good attitude and not flaming (pity?)

Rather because this is part of the now mostly extinct world of WC3 mods that was once quite important for me.haxorico wrote: You made an account because I cheated the map? I must say I do feel honored.
I feel honored that you still find Warlock worth the effort of reverse engineering
That is Zymoran, and he still makes the anti-cheats. I do not work on the WC3 version anymore, instead I make the standalone.haxorico wrote: And after he was no longer active, there was another member here from the warlock team making chit-chat about the cheated maps, like saying next time he will up the difficulty of the anti-cheats and so on...
Yeah, it is an interesting technical challange and could see the usage of exciting solutions - after thinking about it, I have some ideas for both protection as well as cheating tools. So far, both the anti-cheats and cheats have been quite simple, there is alot to explore.haxorico wrote: I don't see where the pity comes from, I always liked cheating warlock due to the challenge it gives and I always wonder how you place those anti-cheats, or even think of them in the first place.
Since WC3 is not very active now, it would probably not be worth the effort. However, for the challange and entertainment, we could discuss the potential designs of obfuscation/reverse-engineering tools for WC3.
Pleased to hear that you find Warlock worth studying.NumberXIII wrote:Makes me want more to cheat itand to side study the map if i have time
You do not really have to reverse-engineer it though, since you can read it here https://github.com/warlockbrawl/warlock
