Problem with cd drive help needed.
Heres the story: I was using nero to burn somting to a cd, I then changed my mind since I was feeling a bit impatient and hit cancel while it was starting, it took a bit but finally said canceled. After that my drive can no longer view cd, has no prob with dvd's just cds itll even freeze comp if I try for too long to look at wuts on the cd, can't burn or nehting either, I can still play cds like war3 put it in still plays, but if I were to try and look at it thru "my computer" it would freeze. I have no clue wuts happened but I take it nero's at fault, if it helps I was using over burning.

Nero has never bugged on me before so I like it, and the problem isn't as easyily fixed with just getting a new burner as my cd drive is bugged rite now need to fix that before anything. ;/

Maybe your driver is bugged only with Nero. You should give a try with some freeware burners.
Oh, and know this "Ahead" the company is not fixing the bugs because it cant handle with so many bugs, really.

Okay, first off, Nero is known to have problems, i always have problems with nero so i stopped using it as much. I do however recommend Alcohol 120%. It's easy to use, and you never have any errors.
My Favorite Rule:
- No excessive BBCode, (colors, flashing text, spoilers, etc.), using; don't use it for every single word you're typing, only use it make a word(s) stand out.

Re: Problem with cd drive help needed.
try uninstalling burner drivers from device manager
rightclick on my computer icon - click manage - go to device manager - rightclick your burner and choose uninstall - reboot computer and install "new" found hardware and try again
you also can try this at secured mode (i guess - using german win)
press F8 while PC is booting (maybe several times to bring up bootmanager)
and for future... don't cancel burn progresses

Thats not a solution. We cant encounter PC problems by formatting them, what happens the same problem happens on you formatted PC, format it??? No. Learn to face problems, understand why this happened and if all your efforts go wasted even after taking opinions from the others the, you can format the machine. At least that's the way i think.HyperK999999 wrote:lolz that used to happen to me before than i just got pissed and formated my computer. Installed new programs and start out fresh.
PS:its like saying "shit, i got a flu... maybe i should kill my self
