I want to try my best to make a system that will stop 99% of deprotecters and their annoying programs... I need people to list methods of protection and what took them the longest to deprotect.

Sadly as long as a program can read something.. it can be hacked into, BUT!! I plan to make it a pain for whoever tries. :D

Btw does anyone know if hex editors work still for the MPQ trick?

I as well have already found ways to block deprotection programs forceing deprotecters to have to browse through the map to find certain parts.

What I really am looking for is any known way to prevent the .j script from being read, like any possible way to overload anything trying to read it while being playable still.

I think the best protection is a JASS protection. Anyone can really hack into a map file. Finding JASS protections is much harder since there are so many and can be hidden very well. Take a look at Power Towers by Strilanc and Legion TD by HuanAk. They have pretty nice anticheat measures.

Although, to be fair, you can still cheat and play the map for some of it. I'm just giving you an idea.

Thank you, what I have currently is 12 copies of one anti-cheat system in a map which makes it painful for any hacker.

Personally I don't believe anticheat systems is as good as Jass protection.
Sadly I doubt anyone here would list you methods to protect, causing trouble for ourselves.

Hex editor used for header corruption, works. if you are protecting your map, that's a must-do step.
I think warlock089 ,099c, the world RPGs3 and DEATHWING ORPG v1.36 have that kind of protection you want. I feel Legion Td is easier than that.

There are lots of different ways to do it. If you search the forums a bit, you can find out some, as well.

That's also not true. Most people in here probably don't even know how to protect a map anymore. But we have told people how before.

but, yeah, do a search and you'll find a few helpful ones.

Also, if you can figure out which maps our admins work on, you'll see a few good anticheats, as well ;).
