The rule also says ppl will get warned for saying that it's disabled for obviously but still I hope this helps:

In red font similar to font for player 1 it gives a note once you typed in "-save" or "-saveold" that "Saving is not allowed in Single Player mode!"

That rule just means to not tell us generically what happens when trying to save, and instead telling specifically what happens. Screenshots like that are an amazing help when it comes to enabling SP.
