Refresh an old guy's memory...

Post by Vegas »

So yesterday I hopped onto chat, the played some MAULs and got a little interested in trying a few things. When I try opening my map, several different versions, I get severyl trigger errors, such as:

Code: Select all

Trigger function does not exist in database:Destroy trigger
And eventually:

Code: Select all

This application has encountered a critical erroR:

Not enough space......
It looks as though I am trying to open protected maps in WE, but i'm not. Has something changed since 2009 that I don't know about that I can't open my maps?

*EDIT*

I just reinstalled and this time I updated to the latest patch, now I apparently need the cd in the drive. Now I can't even load warcraft. I tried ounting images and that didn't work either...

Were you using a special version of World Editor when you made the maps...Unlimited, JassNewGen, etc? Sounds like you did, if there's a "DestroyTrigger" in there.

It's been so long, I don't remember. LOL

Actually I do know that the original SM map was being coded on a different WE (Don't know which one). I am pretty sure that I was using the original. Will have to try it in a moment.

Now about the cd being needed in the drive...any ideas???

If you've fully updated, it shouldn't require a CD. The only thing I can think of to do is to go to blizzard's site and use their game downloads from there.

BART: WEU works no probs, but only after downgrading my WC version (No-cd problem)
Thanks!!

Undead:This was a fresh install of WC, on a frechly installed OS (win 8), and I downloaded the patch directly from Blizzard. I will see if I can go online and do the update from battlenet.

Frechly, lol.

If you have the CD, does it really matter?

haha. If you guys keep teasing me about my typos, it's going im the novel I'm writing!!!

I HAD the original CDs, but when I left my girlfriend back in '06, I apparently forgot them. I was lucky I saved my keys.

Here is the problem though. i have use daemon tools to mount SEVERAL images I have of WC, but none of them want to work. I might just try it on a non-win8 computer tomorrow.

You're the novel you're writing? ;o

Yeah, I would just do what Jen said and register the keys on Blizzard's site and download it from there.

Could always ask George for legit keys. Most of his keys aren't banned yet XD. And they work.
