Can anyone restore a map?
I would restore this particular map myself but the topic on restoring map is filled with broken links to pictures and I do not have the experience required to do such a thing anyways. If you are interested in helping me out in this endeavor it would be greatly appreciated and I will attach the map as soon as someone posts saying that they are interested(which is unlikely because no one on d3scene so far wants to do it).

You do realise restoration can take years...
If you have any questions drop in by chat sometime, chances are there'll be someone who can help you that's afking there, so the next best thing is to click the link on UndeadxAssassin's Sig and ask your question there.

It could take anywhere from a week to years, post the map and I'll tell you how hard it is. It's all about the size of the triggers file.

Years? How can it take years? What I really need is to be able to edit the triggers in world editor and the units and save the map without the world editor crashing when I try to save the map with the modifications I make to the units.Click here to download the map from epicwar.

obviously manually trying to restore the triggers can take years...
you really have no idea what you're asking for.
don't expect anyone to do this.

Re: Can anyone restore a map?
This is my understanding of it:
In JASS, there are a few parts to a trigger. There's the Init area, where events actions and conditions are added into the main function, and there are functions which store every action that goes on. Those are called by the function main or whatever function initializes triggers and, well thats how it executes.
To restore triggers, you would have to go through, find every trigger function, search for the condition and action functions, create a new trigger with the exact name of the trigger function, remake the trigger from scratch with the help of the .j script.
As you can imagine, this takes a LONG time. This is only one part. There are preplaced units, regions, cameras, variable names, trigger names, objects, and the list goes on and on.
3.5mb map (Yours) I would place at 4 months minimum with help from others to restore everything.

Re: Can anyone restore a map?
It would be faster for you to just learn JASS.
As for editing the units, geX made a nifty tool called GMSI, which lets you edit units and stuff more easily (I think) than with WE.
