What is this square (Jasscraft)

Post by owner123 »

So I've been messing around with the .wtg file for a while, but now when I'm trying to copy parts of it into my programming environment, it won't copy. Specifically the little box that keeps showing up!
Spoiler:
untitled.PNG
Can't copy it into wc3edit.net, notepad, or vb.
Any ideas what that character is?

That is the reason why I asked what program is used to open a WTG file in another post. It can be read as cute little squares in most eidtors, but it must have some other meaning in a proper editor (WE??)

Basically, each byte of the file represents one character, and also a value in the range 0 - 255. Fonts don't include images for every value, so for ones missing an image, a box is displayed in its place.

Get a hex editor. I suggest XVI32, it's very nice.

FatherSpace: What happened, Bart?
Bartimaeus: She walked out of the house saying that she was going over to some friends, and it's been like two hours, and my mom is trying to get a hold of her, which she's been unable to.
Bartimaeus: I can also hear three car alarms going off.
GeorgeMots: how old is she?
Bartimaeus: I haven't a clue. Probably 17.

AbusivePie: You don't know how old your sister is?
Bartimaeus: Nope.
UndeadxAssassin: Epic fail
GeorgeMots: is she cute??
Bartimaeus: So, uh, how about you get into the Christmas spirit and put that avatar on before I do it myself and take away your bloody avatar-changin' rights?
UndeadxAssassin: If I thought of a random one...
UndeadxAssassin: Like....
UndeadxAssassin: I'll get back to you on that

How will you/your program know if its a normal WE trigger or a custom trigger not recognized by WE?
