So I'm trying to deprotect this map.

The issue is unit data or whatever (ch 3).

However I can't open up the mpq using the mpq editor you gave me and I've tried using a listfile that I got from the map itself using mpqrecover.

It may have something to do with the map is probably chinese.

The map is corrupted.
How to fix:
Ever happened when you tried to open a map in a program such as MPQMaster, and it crashed or didnt open the map? if so, then that means the map MPQ Archive is corrupted, and to solve it, we need to rebuild the MPQ Archive.
When rebuilding the MPQ, we basicly just extract all the files and add them into a blank map. All unknown files will be deleted so use Part A to get a full listfile.
Rebuilding MPQ:
1) Open MPQEditor.
2) Force opening it in read-only mode
3) Select all the files and extract them into the "Files" folder, located inside the MyMap.w3x.temp folder inside your X-Dep folder (Make sure the folder is empty before you do so, if it isnt then empty it)
4) Place the map in X-Dep folder
5) Rename the map to mymap
6) Run x-dep
7) When its done, press any key to close the program
8) Now you got a map called "deprotected" inside you x-dep folder. That is the map with a rebuilt MPQ and will be openable at MPQMaster or any other MPQEditor

lulz out of memory when I try.
I got it working eventually.
RMPQ doesn't let me extract everything though, some of them are yellow or red (yellows sometimes give me out of memory errors, reds are unextractable).

I think x-dep got hung.
its stuck on "Extracting ~unknowns\unknown_00000002..."

Err it just got unstuck but slowed down at somewhere else.
This is going to take a while I think.

I usually does when you don't have a good listfile.

I'm using a listfile I got from deepscanning with mpqrecover (on the map), some other listfile I should use?

well sfmpq stopped working and the deprotected.w3x was 49 kb
Also I'm in low diskspace now apparently. 0 free =/

These listfiles still don't allow me to extract all of the stuff which can be seen in the picture below.

And if i don't extract everything then the map has missing models.

------

I'm rather stuck because I can't extract all of the files needed and I can't add in any files to make the original map unprotected.

Try using this http://forum.wc3edit.net/useful-tools-f ... 13994.html
Open the original map in w3 and just look at all the missing models in the game.

I don't really think I can get that tool to get all 512 Filenames in archive and when I've done save all and save in archive and when I open the map with rmpq (after merging the listfile from that program with my old listfile) it still shows unknown files.
I had 220/512 filenames and I ran it while loading and for a while afterwards but getting all 512 on a map I don't even know in a language I don't know seems rather impossible.

I'm still not convinced that its not because the map is chinese that its having trouble.
