DEFIANCE ORPG-Is it possible for someone continue his work?

Post by lupeman »

This map is the best ORPG available to play, too bad it's unfinished, shame because dragon raids sounded rather intense, considering the difficulty of ice dungeon.
Just wondering why no one continued working on his map. After all, it was the grandfather of all other ORPGS on WC3 now.

inb4 don't have raw codes, triggers, custom spells.

Also, this isn't a request, I am asking if there is a possibility of it happening and if so, who can do it?

It depends if the maker of the map decided to hand over his map to someone else that can continue his map. Therefor it is legit.

So if he doesn't hand over his stuff, it is impossible to continue his work?

Impractical to the point where no-one would do it, so yeah pretty much impossible.

Stuff probably came up in life for the map maker.

If someone is good at JASS, it's possible to continue his work by editing the .j file and the .w3u/a/etc files respectively for triggers and object editor data.
