Re: Optimizing Problem
Compact(Flush) didn't work correctly, then. Close MPQMaster and open it up again, then use Compact(Flush) on the map. Adding a cheatpack shouldn't make the file more than 200KB (unless you added more than just JJ's).

Re: Optimizing Problem
Hmm, well I only removed some stuff, I didn't add anything, and its still bigger than the original.
To clear this up I think you misunderstood what i was talking about.
I downloaded the hacked version of twilight's eve R2, and then I took out a line of coding that keeps players from loading pugs in that version, then saved and compiled it and readded it to the map, then compact(flush)'ed the map and it made it 300 kb's bigger

Re: Optimizing Problem
If you are using windows 7 or vista, you better run it as administrator (mostly EVERYTHING!) I see it as a really dumb thing, but you don't wanna know what stuff I got into from normal activating.

Hmm, that seemed to have decreased the size, but its still over 8 mb and i didnt even add anything, so why would it be bigger?

Re: Optimizing Problem
Well compact flush was a bitch for me always, some times it works like a charm, some times it doesn't do shizzle.
Try other methods such as MPQEditor's Compact Flush etc..

Ok, thank you, is MPQEditor on here? I found one but it seems pretty old, so wasn't sure if that was the right one.

Oh, apparently the latest version supports unicode file names. Yay.

Hmm, every time I try to compile it I get an error saying that it failed to compact the archive.
