If you are joining through LAN (e.g. GHost admin games or pickup listchecker etc) shouldn't you be able to use any name you like since it is on LAN and not your actual account name on Battle.net?

May you tell me what application you use for multi-player games? Is it Garena or Battle.net.

why can't you just change your name to like |CFF black or something?

i don't really know how colour codes work but don't namespoofers when they colour your name change your name so its colourcode name?
like they append |<Colour> to the front of your name.

being in lan why can't you just do that yourself?

if you know what colour you want you can just put it next to the .| instead of the colour they use.
