I dont know what you want from me when you claim that you have hacked my map but it really kills me because if its hacked no one will play it. That defeats the purpose of the game and so if i see anyone hack the map i will be inclined to stop letting you play them. Apart from dekar and xantan who obviously i will let :D
That's precisely why I havn't been doing requests for people in a very long time. I don't support this site except for the purpose of learning through MPQ Archives and JASS.

The occasional private cheated map is fun for a while or a game or two but not stuff like Xantan's Island Defense 2.7.9. You can't imagine the shit storm that stirred up.
what happened?
people disliked goatse? :P
actually someone did post goatse over @ ID forums and asked if it was an 'egg' or something.

Aren't you arguing with yourself? I mean with what you said before?

"People play to have fun, not to play by the rules, if they want to it to be cheated for the fun of it, let them."

What you're saying here is exactly the opposite of what you're saying there. And if I get you confused on what here and there is, it doesn't matter, because it works both ways =D.
Unless I missed something, I think that's about right.

This doesn't contradict what I said at all but I'm saying that it should require some moderation.

"That's precisely why I havn't been doing requests for people in a very long time. I don't support this site except for the purpose of learning through MPQ Archives and JASS."

This is 100% true and doesn't contradict what I said.

"The occasional private cheated map is fun for a while or a game or two but not stuff like Xantan's Island Defense 2.7.9. You can't imagine the shit storm that stirred up."

What I'm saying here is cheated maps get old fast (To my experience because they replace game skill with typing commands) and Island Defense 2.7.9 caused a lot of confusion and disruption. What happened is an organized group help mass spread 2.7.9 and boast it as an official version. The makers and the entire forum were on the receiving end of the disruption, and others were being turned off of Island Defense after getting crashed by randoms and seeing all the haxes. What made it not fun, was the atypical method in it's use and release.

This is 100% true and doesn't contradict what I said.

Don't approximately quote me and twist words.

I just noticed you open-sourced your map?

I hate to be a naysayer but you tell the people HERE to stop hacking your map but you leave it unlocked for the thronging masses of complete dumbfucks on BNet?

At least the people here will just insert cheats so they can be the best.

If you leave it unlocked, eventually, there will be mad versions that are just FUCKED up and this site won't have had nothing to do with it :(

...Unless "open sourced" means something else?
