I'm trying to add the port forwarding to my router to enable remote desktop connection, but doesnt seem to want to work. Tried adding to firewall, dont know if its wirking right either. I just cant seem to navigate worth shite with everything in German.
any other way to connect to a remote computer not on a workgroup?

I usually just forward SSH and then tunnel everything else through it. Dunno about Windows though...

If SSH isn't an option - Try VNC - That should work on Windows as well. http://www.tightvnc.com/
