How to change map name?

Can anyone teach me hot to change the map name of a certain map?Thanks in advance.

Once more, here it goes.

To edit the name of the map in game, open the war3map.j (script file of the map) find the name and replace it. Now do the same with war3map.wts file.

To edit the lobby name, open war3map.w3i and hex edit the file. Now do the same with the map itself, the w3x file. Hex edit it.

Last but not least, edit the loading screens.

Its very brief so for further explanation feel free to ask.

Sorry newbie here, but i need to ask, how to open war3map.wts file? use what program?
And when u say hex edit it means using XVI32?

Yes hex edit means edit with any kind of hex editor like the one you said. Simply open the wts file with notepad/wordpad

There are many tools that can convert from tga to any file you desire and edit it. Here is a list of tools

Like u said above, i already the loading scree and put it back to the map. But it make me fatal err when the game is going to show loading screen.
any suggestion??

1.take the loading scree file.
2.convert the file to gif files and edit
3.convert the file back to tga file
4.insert back to the map.
