How to solve a kids problem?

Parents are in the middle of something when their kids fight.

Looks like theres a cake, and both kids want to eat it, but each want a larger piece of themselves.

So mum and dad offers to seperate the cake fairly but they say thta each parent has a favorite child in mind so it would still be unfair.

How best to spilt the cake fairly?
