There have been several independent tests from what I read proving it works. Also under the new USA DMCA exceptions the use of this hardware is perfectly legal ;) I am highly amazed of the USB nature, doing this using firewire would have been easy (ofc the ps3 has no firewire), but USB doesn't even have Direct Memory Access. So I suggest just to wait a few months till cheap clones emerge on the market ;)

i won't be touching them for a while for a few reasons.
a) may be fake
b) tonns of people are selling fake ones
c) i need to don't click me a ps3 first =(

Look at all the videos and reviews - don't look fake to me. Also you better don't wait too long getting a ps3 at least - Sony will patch it :P

man main reason i want this crack to be out is so that i can play ff 13 coz i dunno if it is really worth buying...
some really nasty reviews going around...
i have been hooked on ff since... ff10 so...
this is prob the first i have ever doubted it.
ff 11 just left a bad taste so...

I don't believe they bought so many people - all those reviews are independent. I say it's not a fake, even though I don't have a ps3 anymore.

And FF13 is IMO not worth buying, was the first FF I played (on 360) and it bored me pretty fast. The cut-scenes are great, but the gameplay is totally linear (no freedom at all - just walk to the next waypoint) and I disliked the battle system. But then again I dislike most games these days - Can't you lend it to test it first?
