What type of service does your friend have?
Same with mine, an ADSL modem, even same port.

I think so.. But what to do other than contacting the provider? Because everytime I talk to my father he will just say "Many peoples are using the connection" some kind like that.
If you are useing wireless then you could be geting interference. Wireless phones, cell phones, mircowaves. radios anything that uses or produces a wireless signal can make your signal weaker. You can try to change the wireless channel to any number from 1-11. Each channel uses a different frenquency, so you should check if any device in your house use ones close to the wireless'.
A better adapter to connect to the wireless signal? Make sure it uses the same wireless type a/b/g/n, n being the longest range type.

I believe the problem is a poor wireless signal since the router is next door.
Bridging connections is when two of the same (or same brand, sometimes) routers/modems, whereas one sends a wireless signal to the other and the other receives it. Making something like a bridge. This can be done instead of useing a wireless adapter.
You have to know networking passwords to be able to do this.
