How this map works??
I've got warcraft map editor (installed with the game). When I open the map I want, I think I've successfully open it.
But even without modifying anything, the map cannot be saved, since not all player have set initial position.
Also, I found no trigger and absolutely nothing makes the map work...?
What tools would I need to beat this map up??
(I have nothing other than War3 Map Editor... and I'm using 1.24e version of the game, so please help me with some workable method in 1.24e)
Or is this map just LOOK LIKE unprotected?
Here is the map, containing a bit chinese character, but just ignore it, it should be fine.

Try opening the map with a modified version of jassnewgen.

Edit: opened the map you attached. Saved as well, no errors.

Frist off, dont double post, use the edit button.
Now on topic. Open the map on the editor i linked you. And about the starting points, just select yes, theres no problem.

Re: How this map works??
Sorry Im new to the forum.
Is that mean I should edit the post saying "really? the warcraft editor..." and add "oh you mean open..." there??
Another thing for the editor, do I have to put it to Warcraft folder or anywhere I want to make it work?
Still some problem... I've open the map and pressed save as, and pressed YES for creating a starting point... However, it said the map does not contain war3map.j... When I test it with warcraft 3, the game isn't working at all

Well, just unzip all the stuff to a folder, run jassnewgen. Are you sure you tested the original map? cause i had no problems.

Re: How this map works??
Im quite sure it is that newly saved map, as I save it into a new Test folder. So when I go into warcraft there is only 1 map there.
Also, I deprotected other maps following the tutorial here
http://forum.wc3edit.net/deprotection-c ... 16357.html
But I still found no trigger in any of those map including other TDs and some VS maps
Then I tried to open those scenario maps come with the warcraft game. They are fine and I can see the trigger.
My step is simple.
1. Open GCTD using the map editor given above
2. Press "Trigger Editor", then I see this.
3. Press "SaveAs" and then "Yes" saved the map. Then the map became this. Not the same with the original one.
4. Played the same map. Sure it is the map saved. I get this instead of a playable game.

Re: How this map works??
Im running "NewGen WE.exe" found in the extracted package, but it looks like the original WE, with a few plugins added.
I assume it is the right way as the other executable seems calling up the WarCraft game.
