new protection method?

This map can not be opened using any MPQ editor that I'm aware of.

It would be interesting to know how this was accomplished, and the ways to get around it.

Not Spazzler, but also nothing new to me, as far as I can tell.

One of the values in the MPQ header is a count of how many files are in the archive. If you increase that a bunch, most things won't read the map properly 'cause they keep looking for files (which don't exist).

The last 4 bits of the header are 80 38 01 00, which is 0x00013880, or 80,000. Unless you know the exact number, it won't work properly.

PS: A quick test shows that these should be changed to 70 00 00 00. Happy cheating!

Opens just fine with Ladik's mpq editor.
New commands in the J file:

(win-1251/utf8 encdoing)
"м‹њм•ј кі м •" / "시야 고정"
Toggle... something
"м‹њм•ј " / "시야 "
Sets camera distance to entered string, and rotates it in a nice manner.
"-м‹њм•ј" / "-시야"
Show some wonderfull help text about the previous function.
"кі м •" / "고정"
Another camera function. This uses relative distance multiplication.

I can't give you 100% warranty, but it looks like there are no cheats in there. At last no gold cheat.

btw, YellowAfterlife pointed out that Ladik's thing detects 110 files, which would be 6E 00 00 00. You can give that a try if you want.
