i was not sure where to post it, nor what tags i should have included in my title, if it is wrong, just tell me.
and now the problem:
i have a map that i deprotected but the script is obfuscated (probably with vexorian map optimizer) and i want to undo that.
i have done this before with a older version of the same map and it worked perfectly back then but this time WE is messing things up.
For some reason the WE 'remembers' the old script that is almost unreadable. no matter what i do with the .j file (i can even remove it) it keeps on showing the old one.
is this a known problem or have i once again found something that should not happen...
sounds familiar to anyone? or do you just have some things i should try.
(i use newgen WE but tried regular WE as well, same result)
WE remembers old script?

WE remembers old script?
Program design today is a race between software engineers striving to build bigger and better idiot-proof programs, and the Universe trying to produce bigger and better idiots. So far, the Universe is winning.

Re: WE remembers old script?
I know that RMPQEx has a jass debufsactor or smthing like that...
If the names have been optimized there is NO way to undo as those names cause have easly just been "lolz look at me im a trigger!"

Re: WE remembers old script?
i even use RMPQex to deobfuscate the script and it does that just fine, it makes a script with numbers as function names and gives each variable a name to show which type it is, if it is local or nor and a number in case there are more of the same type.
but WE ignores this new script as he sticks to the old one...

Re: WE remembers old script?
I propose you use RMPQex on the protected map then use x-dep, then open the deprotected map using jassnewgen
