Codes from 1.4b and past do not work, unless you use -loadold or w/e and you can not save if you load that way, but I can not save even if I play without loading. That problem is for 1.4c. What version are you playing DarkWinter? I don't see the point of playing any version later than 1.4c because no serious player actually plays those versions. Nor can you find a game going that is a version before 1.4d!darkwinter wrote:Really? Cos i can save and still play it on other maps. Perhaps you used the wrong version. 1.3 and above has a code wipe or sumthing.applepi wrote: Okay I understand. By the way you may want to know that I can not -save when playing that map. I tried on single player and multiplayer. Saving does not work. Also I gain 0 rank experience from all missions and none from killing enemies. Just thought you might want to know.
Currently, I and my frens are beta testers for the version 1.5. We are currently in Singapore. You can find us on Gamesurge on mirc on channel #notdam or Galaxy.net also on channel #notdam.

You are playing the Hacked NOTD Aftermath 1.5 beta map? I didn't know he uploaded that, I will check again. However, maybe you misunderstood me, I was trying to stay that all my problems were for the hacked 1.4c version of NOTD Aftermath, not the regular versions (official, not hacked (not the uploaded ones). Also, I was trying to find out what hacked version map that was uploaded that you were playing, not what regular official (not hacked) version.darkwinter wrote:applepi wrote:Yes I downloaded NOTD Aftermath 1.4c. There are 10 medals in total. 5 of the medals are earned from "service exp", so using supportive spells that either help you or your allies, and the other 5 are earned with "combat exp", and from what I've heared, this exp is based on kills/hits (more kills, while not being hit lots), and the use of combat spells that damage enemies etc. *Note the Medal of Honor (the hardest earned medal) may be based on both service and combat exp, not sure though)*. In regular gameplay, service medals are easily earned by spamming low mana cost spells like flare and heal. Snipers and machinegunners often earn high combat xp as they usually kill most of the low lvl enemies, resulting in high kills. Also note that bad teamwork (like lots of team members dying, or being hit a lot of times by enemies, and being infected/poisoned/fractured by enemies) might drastically lower the exp earned in a game.
Not exactly sure what the medals actually do, but I think some of these medals add some HP to your hero, and some add 1-2 damage, or maybe a few stats etc. (Medals become important with the added bonuses in later pay grades, as the higher pay grade you have, the lower the HP you start with).

You type -stats and it shows all the available medals as text. The ones you have are shown in white, and the ones you dont have are shown in grey.
Others in game can type -medals to see how many (X/10) medals you have, so if you cheat your exp they can see you have 0/10 medals. Only when you type -stats can other players see what medals you have.
