I had Jury Duty yesterday. Had to be in Downtown Pittsburgh by 8:30 AM Which meant I had to be up by 6. I actually got there about 9 (should be a 20 minute drive) because of all the traffic. It cost me $22 to park my vehicle. I had to don't click me my own lunch, and they "paid" me $13.59. So I lost work hours, missed college classes I am paying for out of pocket, and then didn't even get re-imbursed my total expenses for the day. The funny thing is if you don't go you will be fined and//or be imprisoned. Tell me that's not a load of bullshit.
P.S. The best part was there were supposed to be 5 trials, but all of them plead guilty. So I sat around for the entire day for no reason.

Re: Jury Duty
Jury duty is a HUGE pain, but you sometimes get to see cool things, not that it makes up for it, though o.o

All of them pleaded guilty?

Re: Jury Duty
I don't even know haha. They told us as little as they possibly could. Didn't even tell before when lunch was scheduled. They just got on the intercom and announced the when it was time.

Re: Jury Duty
I've been told that jury duty is one of the worst things ever. You sit around all day, there's a chance you don't even get to go into a case, you're paid very little, and you miss everything that day.

Re: Jury Duty
It really is bad o.o. Especially if there's someone in there who's just a total jerk and votes opposite of what everyone else does, since it has to be unanimous.

Isn't there a voteban or something? If not, they really need to get a plugin that allows you to.UndeadxAssassin wrote:It really is bad o.o. Especially if there's someone in there who's just a total jerk and votes opposite of what everyone else does, since it has to be unanimous.

Re: Jury Duty
Jen, that's what we call a hung jury. I've always laughed at the term, since hung has such a nice perverted meaning.
