i agree. the problem is that windows 7 (i have on other comp) is having compatibility issues and xp... well. i dont have it, and its old although it has massively less system resource usage

You should do what Senethior said and get rid of any unneeded processes on startup. If it's slowing down that bad, are you sure you don't have some sort of virus//malware//etc?
