Suggestion - vBulletin style?

Can forum be vBulletin style? So every users can get custom ranks! (Yes, only ranks not color tho.)

We already have custom ranks. Only Co-Admins & Admins can give them out, though.

And you can give yourself a custom title in the UCP, it's just labeled Title: instead of looking like a rank.

Ive run a Forum before and its really a pain in the ass to create Ranks, unless the PHP has changed since i hosted mine.

What on earth are you talking about? "vBulletin Style" does not give anyone custom ranks, only getting a vBulletin FORUM does, but we're not going to. Not to mention that too many ranks makes the important ones like Admin and Mod seem insignificant. So no.

That's not what we want. What happens when we actually want to award someone with one? No point - they can just write it themselves. I suppose that's the point you're getting at - but that's just not what we want.

Infact, it's a complete waste - we have the Title thingy for a reason. So we can do both.

We don't want people to be able to change their official rank whenever they want - they mean nothing, then. People who deserve them will probably get them, and that's that. What you want makes them completely worthless - it'd be the same thing as the title, and it seems like that's not what you want, so what're you getting at?

The title is just for whatever the heck you feel like, I guess. Funny, serious, or whatever - it's what you want. Rank is what we, the staff, choose.
