I just got scared the crap out of.

The last few days it's been pouring rain for like three days straight with crazy winds, etc. It stopped today, today, though.

So, here I was sitting in my bed, waiting for myself to finally succumb to sleep...hear a few weird noises, but those always seem to be there, so I ignore them. A few minutes later, a HUGE bright light flashes throughout the entire room, and I jump out of bed scared. I logically think it must be a lightning flash - probably going to rain again.

I look out four different windows - one for each direction. I can see the stars on each side, and there isn't a single cloud in sight. Kind of freaked, I knock on my sister's door. She's still awake, but says she saw no flash. I knock on my brother's door - he isn't awake, lol.

I turn on all the lights in the house, and my computer, and ask myself if I'm crazy or are aliens invading?

I'm waiting for morning. There's no way I'm going back to bed.

P.S. I'm on the wrong side of the house for people driving in the streets. It wasn't a car driving by my house.

It could be the meteor shower. The Geminid meteor shower is at its peak yesterday night and tonight. It's really cool to see!

It was almost definitely a very bright meteor from the Geminids.

The Geminid will start to die down after tonight, so if you're not in the city, try to find some! You can see them starting at around 10 Eastern time (GMT -5). They're really cool!
