think I fried or near-fried something last night

I hate computers.

Last night, I turned off my computer, right? O.K., well, I was putting away some CD's on top of the tower, and my finger brushed the top of the tower's metal, and I got a huge shock, and somehow my computer turned on. I turned it off, and waited 'till tomorrow.

When I wake up, it doesn't turn on the first time. Blank screen. Second time, it's able to get to the motherboard startup thing, and then says something that there was an error in my last system restore, do I want to continue? I was like, "uh, what? No." Fails to do anything after that.

Turn off again, and turn it back on. It goes back to that screen with the same message, so I say yes. I get back to desktop.

Most of the things in a computer are stored by electricity, so I would assume that you conducted (and discharged) static electricity when you brushed your arm and stuff happened o_o..

@Offtopic: It seems you get lots of these computer problems o_o....From frying your computer (again) to faulty installations.

If you're getting shocked just by touching the case, something is wrong. You should shut it off and make sure there isn't anything funny going on in your computer.
