I used to do alot of sigs but now i'm more of a background kind of guy. I'm still not very good yet, most of my backgrounds are very simple but I make all my own renders and vectorize them.
***WARNING*** some are very big and might not fit on the screen, i use 1280x800 res so thats why. If enough people complain i can resize
