Sometimes the tooltips ingame for an item recipe are wrong.

How do I view the "recipe" of an item?

Im particularly looking at this map right now http://theblackroad.net/latest-map/

The only way that i can think of, would be looking at the triggers. That can be done by extracting the war3map.j from the map, and opening it up with jass craft, and using the search feature to look for your item. However, im a complete novice with mpq, and for some reason i cant open/extract the war3map.j from the map..at least doing it the easiest way..So someone will have to post it for you.
