You say you love your girl friend, and then you say seven and eight months right after it. That isn't how English works. Not only that, but I've never seen ANYBODY ever use it that way.

It could mean many things. Could mean how long you guys have known each other...etc.

The way I saw it: He gave a length of time right next to the fact that he loves his girlfriend, and then said it's a longer length of time on a certain day, which means it is something that is ongoing. When placed next to the fact that he loves his girlfriend, I interpreted it as how long he's been with her.
Actually, I agree with you, Bart. It could be how long he's known her, how long he's known he loves her, how long they've been together, or many other explanations. I could give more, but I don't feel like it. It would just sound stupid.
