Making an .exe
Well after working with C on dev-C++ I made some projects.. Yet when I want to run them I need to open dev-C++, open project, compile and run.
How can I make it into an .exe / .dat so Ill only click on it and it will work..

The compiler doesn't let you turn it directly into a .exe? Weird, I thought it would have.
No matter. Try something like MinGW or Cygwin, then you can just use "g++ -o Program.exe source.c".

Try Linux, it even runs files without .exe extension

Re: Making an .exe
If you manage to debug your program, search the project folder for bin / src, or just for .exe files.
Unless you managed to find some rare sort of C, there will be a executable left after your test runs.

Re: Making an .exe
If he wrote it to use Windows libraries, it probably won't work in Ubuntu without WINE. Compiling it should work, though. Just use the command I posted earlier; that should compile it correctly, in Cygwin or MinGW or Ubuntu or OS X. Then you can copy the file over and make sure it works on Windows.
