hey i've been using JJCP for quite some time and i've really come to enjoy it (ty <3) i was wondering though, the ADD abilties command that i see that has a #### code how does that work? i know each ability has an ID like unit/itemid, but i was wondering how i can tinker around with that to edit hero's abilities.. anyone know? thx :)

Yeah, you need the ability code to do it. You can get ability codes the same way you would get item RAWCodes; that is, Open RMPQex, Browse for map, Open, Dump Object Data, check "abilities" and it'll dump to wherever you set it to. You would also read it the same way you would an item RAWCode list.

Anyway, if you want to mess around, just do -add (code) and it should add the ability for you. However, I believe the max is like 7 so if you have more, it'll prevent you from using some. You can use -remove (code) to get rid of it.

If you want to use BNet default codes (like that for storm bolt or flame strike) I guess you just need to know them. I suppose you could extract them from one of the melee maps. (I DO NOT KNOW IF IT WORKS, THOUGH SINCE THE ABILITY ISN'T INCORPORATED INTO THE MAP. Probably would).

Does this help?

So wait if i want to add ability to hero in a map i have to use rmpq to get ability raw codes and then type -add (some code)
in a cheated map and my unit/hero would get that spell?

Well, I mean, you can randomly type letters, too, and hope you get a spell from it (and hope it doesn't crash o_o).
But, yes, that's what I just said :S.

Well, if you're lazy or don't wanna download extra stuff onto your pc, give the cheaters something to do. (Make a request). It's fairly simple and should be done rather quickly (assuming people see it).

The codes are in brackets, just like RAW Codes. Read them like you would read a RAW Code list. If you see a spell with something like AHRm:3914, just use AHRm. (It's case sensitive!).

"

Name=Ivaldi

Title: Coleen!
Let me try could you please import the map here or also do it this way. If you got Warcraft III World Editor then you can do it manually.

1.) If you got MPQ Master and if not then download it. Here's the Link:
Quote:

2.) Open MPQ Master and open the map you selected then select the listfile.
(Sometimes the MPQ Master crashes if the map you selected is protected)
Note : You could try Ladik's MPQ Editor cause its better than MPQ Master since it opens Corrupted MPQ Files also, Ladiks MPQ Editor Download Link : http://www.zezula.net/en/mpq/download.html

3.) Find war3map.w3a (Abilities), war3map.w3i (Information), and lastly war3map.wts (Strings).

4.) Extract war3map.w3a, war3map.w3i, and war3map.wts.

5.) Create a new map with your Warcraft III World Editor which can be found in your Warcraft III Directory.

6.) Save the new map that you created. Save it anywhere as long as you can find it.

7.) Open the new created map that you created with MPQ Master then Import the war3map.w3a, war3map.w3i, and war3map.wts.

8.) Save

9.) Open the map with Warcraft III World Editor.
(Sometimes the map crashes if you import wts then the map you selected is corrupted)

10.) Go to the Object Editor (Looks like a helm) at the top of the Editor beside with the Sound Editor.

11.) Go to the Abilities tab.

12.) Press CTRL + D Then you see the raw codes of each Abilities.

13.) ????

14.) Profit.

(Edit #1 Oops forgot the Ladik's MPQ Editor Link Sorry.)
(Edit #2 Fixed Spelling Errors & Grammatical Errors.)

Please tell me if there's any problem.
