Can anyone tell me how to change the name of the map? Not the .w3x file, but the name of the game when u click on 'Create Game' and when you are choosing the game. If anyone could teach me drop me a PM or reply to this thread. Thanks !!

Well to change that part... you just need to edit it with a hex editor...
Note: never use backspace with a hex editor... >.>

Yes, it screws up the whole script >_> So what do I do with the extra slots? And which part do I know it is to edit?

extra slots on the war3map.w3i don't matter, just don't mess with the squares.

extra slots on the original .w3x mpq DO matter, and you'll need to erase/add hex 00 before/after mpqmaster depending on how you mess it up...

feel free to learn how based on what I said, or ask questions.

enjoy wc3edit.net.

So I open up .w3i with Hex Editor or do I need to open up and edit both?

No, open the w3x (the map) with hex editor...
Then just overwrite anything you want to change
and space out anything you want deleted

How many of the map names do I need to edit, for instance in my case 'Vampirism Fire 4.02b'?
