when did vexorian come out?
this is mostly for old maps like the one I posted in the req section (the map was from 2005)

i think vexorian isnt that old, but even if its not protected with vexorian,
the author could have deleted the file by himself!

can you tell me how to replace the files so I can at least try myself?

It used to be so simple around version 1.17 i think of worldeditor

Heya, have a question.

Been about a year since I last deprotected a map, and have run into a problem I can't remember how to fix.

I edit the .j file, and reimport it. However, when I click on the map in the selection screen, war3 crashes and gives a File.cpp error.

Would deleteing the w3i file fix this?

No, whats the attributes?

Edit: Tryed deleting attributes, still crashes War3 when selected to play.

Hey,

The tutorial for the gold/wood cheat is pretty good and seems to work on quite a few maps, however...

I added a gold cheat in a protected sheep tag map using this method and it worked fine

Next I decided to try Island Defense (2.7.5BETA in case you're wondering) but the .j script was different in that there was no 'useless spaces' or //(custom text here)
Also, in the beginning where it defines triggers (Normally it's 'trigger gg_trg_(trigger_name) = null' but here it was 'trigger gg_trg_(trigger_name) = CreateTrigger()'. The actual triggers are also slightly different too. I tried to apply the 'trigger gg_trg_(trigger_name) = null' method here with the map and included the "call InitTrig_(trigger_name)( )" after the 'function main' but the map ended up bugged. I tried other modifications but to no avail.

Care to explain and offer a solution? :?

By the way, I'm also curious about how to remove triggers because when I removed a trigger from a map (Removed both the 'trigger gg_trg_(trigger_name = null' and the actual trigger) and the map ended up corrupt

Any help appreciated, thanks for time/help (If I get it :?)

if it tells you the map seems to be corrupted, you didnt delete the attributes file!
(my method even works on dota, it should work on every map!)

same things happen to me.. its works like charm most of the map.. but when i edit the battlehip,animefight, then save the new .j and replace the old one. when i load the game.. WC3 says " Game Not Found " i also tried DLng your battleship version( but its too large 2.3mb) and tried editing the activation code to my short name, but when i import and replace the old .j inside then load the game.. WC3 " Game Not Found "

Edit: I -did- delete the attributes by the way and the message I'm getting is "Game Not Found" (That's what I meant by 'corrupt/bugged')
