post file or map?
you might have to scroll down past the normal campaign items and see if they're down there

Just to absolutely clear: you extracted one of the campaign's maps from the campaign and then did what the tutorial described upon that extracted map?Fr33LaNc3 wrote:Problem is I already extracted them. And none of them are in the file so I'm not fine..UndeadxAssassin wrote:The items for TCO are all the same. Just extract it from one of the maps and you'll be fine.

Yes. I extracted Chapter 1.w3x , did the extraction of the Item.txt file and the only thing I got in that file was the normal item codes of Warcraft3, as if there are no other items in the map and so on.Bartimaeus wrote:Just to absolutely clear: you extracted one of the campaign's maps from the campaign and then did what the tutorial described upon that extracted map?Fr33LaNc3 wrote:Problem is I already extracted them. Re: [GUIDE] How To Get RAWCodes
That depends on where the items are saved. Some items are saved on the campaign editor, so the map doesn't know its there until it reads the campaign file.
Try playing the map alone and look for the custom items.

Re: [GUIDE] How To Get RAWCodes
I am playing the map, problem is, that the map has some custom thingies that gives you some items if you have some other items or if you dont have some items equiped/in your posesion/and so on. Also the problem is that the system is a bit buggy as I understood from the author and sometimes it just gives smthing that it's not supposed to , or it doesnt give it at all.haxorico wrote:That depends on where the items are saved. To be honest, I'm merely trying to find the bugs in the system to provide more help to the author as in what is and what's not working exactly right, but at some point I just cant do that anymore cause I kinda needed some items that I either missed along the way or that got bugged and so on.
And no, the author wont give me the codes for them and so on.
@hax : what do you mean by saved in the editor Oo ? Arent the basic items of warcraft3 the only ones that are actualy saved in the editor and the custom ones are coded inside the map ? Or is there a way to actualy hide the items withing the map and only the editor can decrypt them and so on ?

Re: [GUIDE] How To Get RAWCodes
There are 2 editors when it comes to the campaign.
Map Editor - Used to edit the map itself only
Campaign Editor - Any changes in that editor, inflict all the maps that are on the same campaign.

Re: [GUIDE] How To Get RAWCodes
Corect me if I'm wrong but isnt the campaign just another kind of a map, only that it's a special one cause it contains the actual maps that you're playing and in that Case doing what the tutorial on the campaing file wouldnt show the items as it will do when doing it to a normal w3x ?
Just to be clear :
1. I extracted all the map files (.w3x) from the campaign and did the tutorial on all of them. The result was only basic normal items of War3.
2. I did what the tutorial said on the campaign file (.w3n) and the result was still the same -> basic normal items of War3.
So is there like no way to actualy extract the custom rawcodes of the items&stuff ??

Here's a real link, as his link is still broken, lol
Curiously, I had the same problem as he did when I tried to get the rawdata out of one the maps. Looked through the items and seemed as if the only items there were only normal campaign items.
