I fixed my prob. Appearantly some maps have an 'encryption' flag and you need to import your files with the correct flags or it crashes the map.

Regarding wordpad: I use notepad, because sometimes maps have the little squares in them that look like this [] and you need to have them in there. Editing in wordpad screws stuff up..

Or use a jass editor. I believe they are a endline type statement.

Wordpad

NOTE: The ONLY time you can use wordpad when a .j is involved is for viewing it. Never edit the .j with wordpad because it will corrupt your map. Some maps, when the .j is opened with notepad will have everything all bunched together with little rectangles in between it. This is harder to edit.

I recommend JassCraft/UltraEdit too - I got both of them, they seem to work good

That is not true i use notepad all the time to edit .j because it is much easier.
It will only corrupt your .j file IF you do not know how to use jass and program it wrong or somthing

Oh well, it's -My opinion- that it's harder to edit in notepad than JassCraft when editing or implementing triggers and I never said notepad corrupts your .j script but rather wordpad. I am almost 100% sure that wordpad corrupts the .j script - that's basically what I meant

Sorry for misunderstanding >.>

Yea i agree with u their i edited the .j file of DD7 with notepad and put my triggers in. Then when i added bak to the map it just didn't work. So i used my Jass Syntax checker and their was nothing wrong with it so yea i think u are right their.

And Sorry for mixing the 2 up
