That's another thing; pills. What's with all their warnings for usage so they don't get sued?

for example: Don't take xy if you get headaches, sore throats, soft, pink patches of skin, stomach ulcers from taking xy. Oh yeah, that really makes me want to use that.

Probably because out of the whole set of test subjects, maybe one person would get one of those symptoms. And so they know it's possible for it to occur, and they're just covering themselves if you happen to be one of the people that would have that sort of reaction, too.
