Sounds good. However, that restricts some things: Quests in dungeons. Players over the level limit won't be able to complete quests that are located in dungeons, so you'll either have to think of something else, or just not have any quest givers in ANY dungeons.
Or automatically delete low quests for high players, (you'll also have to make it so that there's nothing really special in dungeons, (like a special material; mithril or something), otherwise, they'll not have access to that resource).

To fix that, I will make a region around the boss. If the player is over level 20, it will take them to the entrance of the dungeon.Bartimaeus wrote:Sounds good. Should be all fixed... that way they can go with the lower levels to help with quests, but not rush the game/join just to kill
all the bosses when they load. Any other problems foreseen?

Yep.
Make sure the region is big enough that no spells/attacks can reach the boss,
Otherwise, sounds good.

You should be able to go kill any bosses whatever level you are if you're in single player, unless the boss gives like heaps of exp or something.

Re: New map idea... Castlevania
Alright.
I've thought about it for a while... If this map is going to be multi-player,
then it'd be VERY boring for everyone to have the SAME spells/abilities.
So, I think I'm going to add "Guilds" into the map. They will let you train
different types of spells. One will be shape-shifting. (Into Wolves, bats, etc...)
One will be Dark Magic (Damage Spell), another will be Cleric (Healing/little damage AOE)
OR, the alternative is...
When you pick the model you want, they all have different spells. So...
I'll let you guys reply back on what you think. If there should be Guilds or the models have different spells.
(If you say Guilds, and you can think of more, feel free to tell me the ideas you have for it)

With Guilds, is it like some maps where you go around at the start and 'don't click me' any abilities you want?

Not at all.Ozzapoo wrote:With Guilds, is it like some maps where you go around at the start and 'don't click me' any abilities you want?
There would be special quests from your guild, you do them, and they teach you the skills, you level up higher, they teach
you how to make the spell more powerful (It'd be like a level 1 spell to a level 2 spell). And so on...

Re: New map idea... Castlevania
For this map, it will be 100.
For the next map, it's 250.
(I'm going to make it so you can load over level 100's into the first map though,
but you won't gain ANY exp at all)

Re: New map idea... Castlevania
hmm what about making a level restriction for the second map like you need to be at least 85 to load your code at the second map?
What you think of this idea?
