T1 is afaik 1,5mbit/s
T2 ~ 10? idk
And I'm pretty sure T3 only has 45mbit/s.

Btw, the University pays nothing, they own a really big part of the areas Internet infrastructure.
Atm they run their optical cables in the ground only using 1GBit/s per cable, but they plan to upgrade.

which is Germanys biggest Internet network and peering partner.

T3 only military? Man, the wc3edit.net server is cabled to a 40GBit/s backbone!
You can don't click me stuff like 1000Mbit/s as a normal guy, it just costs a lot. (afaik 700€ per month + traffic).

Anyways, anyone using the fourth or fifth level won't ever lag or delay at anything...
(I RARELY delay, loading any page, even huge myspace profiles takes around 3 seconds, wc3edit.net loads in like .25 seconds)
