Need your advice regarding Automatic Map Cheater

use MPQLib before Shadowflares!
In some cases Shadowflares makes the map 2gb or even bigger if you do it in the other order -.-

So....is my order correct or should I change it?

If it works for you...
I think you will encounter "protected" maps that will corrupt when you try to
compact them with MPQLib or SF's lib. That's what you need Listfiles for.
SFlares failed really often for me, MPQLib only 2-3 times.
However, you asked us what you should do with it... how about releasing it under GPL?
I think I will release my dynamic banner under GPL once I translated the code to english, too!
I really think it's handy to have the source available from time to time...
(I'd like to fix that stupid crash bug in mpq recover for example -.-)

GPL all the way indeed. It's the only reason I share many programs with everybody. Why pay for something that you will rarely use and not profit from it anyway. It has never made sense to me in that aspect. I can see Microsoft charging 200 dollars for an operating system. But after the upgrade to a new one, the older system should be released freely to the public imo. Also 1 key should allow you to fulfil your household requirements as most households today have several computers. I have 6 computers in my house, 3 that are in my room

Hm.... does that mean i'll need to use MpqLib and compact files with listfiles? So far I haven't come across protected maps...

GPL... you still keep the copyright... but you allow everybody to modify and contribute the program as long as they provide the source.
You can still sell GPL programs, as long as you provide the source...

Hm... MpqLib does have a listfile parameter in its compact function... but I couldn't get that to work, so that's the only reason I compacted using SFlare.....

Just let them?
Map makers will just block cheatpacks, who cares?
Automated tools are handy, but they're nothing against raw brain power
