For fulfilled maps that most likely don't work on the latest patch (1.24 or later).

dw? ok i didnt know...
hbtwiwf

thats hey by the way it works fine, if you didnt know, like everyone at wc3edit knows.... ;-)

the problem with max lvl is a bug in the map but it shouldnt happen all the time.
are you making a brand new char then typing -lvl 75???
also if you try to go above the max lvl you will crash the game, obviously.

a bit more info on what youre actually doing, would help alot, to see if its actually a problem or not. i changed absolutely no code regarding character management stuff, since this map has a totally custom stats system and doesnt use the standard str/agi/int...there's alot of balancing things with lvl in the code, and i left it there purposefully not to totally ruin the map.

also, the save system will not work if you alter your char so much that it goes beyond the bounds of intention.
and im not going to hack the save system, thats decryption work that would be a huge project all in itself.

although i havent hacked any maps before, after reading the forums quite a bit, the hacking team here are not actually hackers, they just know some jass script (and surprisingly not even a super deal of that either, i answered some relatively simple jass script questions in the scripting forum that none of the others could answer, i was surprised...). i on the other hand actually am a hacker, which is why this map, which all the other people here failed to hack, i did on my first try without ever seeing jass script before.
dont jump to conclusions....i dont release things that arent complete. if you download any pirate released games, youve probably played alot of pirate games that i released. hacking for me is also a reputation, thing...sortof....well you get the point. i cant release non fully functional hacked games/maps/whatever or i wont be able to work with hacking teams anymore. thats how we work. one sloppy job can always lead to another...its a sad day when a good longtime hacker gets sloppy ;-)

please provide more details if this is actually a problem, and check the http://www.darkinvasion.tk forums for info on known bugs.
thanks.

I always thought of a hacker as a person that pretty much knows about
every programming language there is... and pretty much goes to websites
forums moslty looks for weaknesses to the site and exploits them... >.>

hackers are people that hack things, possibly people that crack things/bypass thereof..

usually using memory searchers or code....

wikipedia is your friend...
Hack has several meanings in the technology and computer science fields: a clever or quick fix to a computer program problem; a clumsy or inelegant solution to a problem; or a modification of a program or device to give the user access to features that were otherwise unavailable to them.
.....
A "hack" now means a clever or quick fix to a computer program problem, as in "That hack you made last night to the editor is working well". A hacker came into the lexicon as meaning one who hacks, using this definition. The surface implication (which might be a modest mocking and play on the literary definition) was a casual attempt to fix the problem, but the deeper meaning was something more clever and thus impressive.
saying "oh thats a dirty hack" has the 2nd meaning ie: its sloppy and a bad solution to the problem...sortof like patching a tire with glue...sure maybe thats all you had around, but, its gonna bust a hole again pretty soon and youll have to fix it, again...
thats a bad usage of the word hack.

usually hack/hacker is used in the other conotations - something that was done very wittingly, with ingenuity, a sly, sneaky, clever solution to a problem.
finding a piece of rubber and melting it into the tire hole with a piece of glass and the sun is a clever hack to fix a hole in your tire when out biking or something...

as is, say, figuring out how a code system works and plugging something in to bypass a bunch of things or looping back 50 functions to eradicate a bunch of needless anti cheat code. that'd be a map...hack...

knowing every programming language ie: being able to, at the snap of a finger, start coding in it, is impossible especially nowadays...
but there is no need to know all programming languages. i can learn a new language, fully, in about 1-3 weeks. depends how complex it is.
thats because people who learn how computers work, never need to rely on knowing a language...you need to know a language? get a book, do some samples, understand what its doing on top of the computer architecture/logic, and no problem. every job ive ever had programming i had to learn a new language, actually...funny as it is. thats part of being an engineer.
but i sortof quit doing that, professionally, now, so...just for fun now ;)

helix:
i wont be adding anything more, sorry...not like that anyway...
reason why - this map in particular is actually a bit different than most in items.
also, i dont know all the end game items...my highest lvl char is only lvl 54, and i cheated through a few levels of course, to bypass repeat killing the same trivial mobs when i had mastered an area already...
ive also finished the game on that, with a good group, a few times.
the best items however i havent gotten to yet, so i dont know what the names of them are, and i dont know where they come from. killing the legends bosses is 1 way of getting them, i know....and treasure hunting.
otherwise, all the items are on the shops, and you just have to get to the shops to get them, which, is very easy, given the cheats.
you can just don't click me all the items and give yourself the gold to get them.
so its pointless to add command to add a bunch of items you in particular want to have.
sorry, not gonna happen, and it never does on any map...but people ask all the time anyway, i dont know why.

oh ya one more thing, regarding leveling up...
since in this game, once you lvl up, it creates another unit lvl 6 with 6 points to add to its stats (this is how the stats system works)...you then add the stats to this "other" (invisible) unit and it adds those stats to your char.
since this is the way it does it, if you are lvl 1 and lvl yourself to 75 right away, it will be spawning 75 new lvl 6 chars that are all heroes. the game cannot handle this. so it wont work most of the time.
so yes, you have to lvl yourself up in chunks. go lvl 10, add all the points, then lvl 20, add th epoints, etc...
you will have to add all the points eventually anyway...so...might as well do it in sets of 10 or something.

thats just how this map works.
im not going to change it, and ruin the map ;)
