You just need to forward your ports.. there are plenty of guides on the internet, and you could probably find them through google (portforward is nice). I don't even know how forwarding an ip would apply to a residential user.

The only thing you would don't click me on that site is the tool. It makes it faster/easier to forward ports. However, you can do it for free, using their guides. Just follow these steps:
Visit this link: http://www.portforward.com/english/rout ... rindex.htm
Find your router's brand, and under it, the model
Click on the model, and it will bring you to the Applications page
Scroll down, and click on the link called Warcraft III
Follow all the instructions that it has on that page

You should be able to host now. Download one of the hacked DotA maps, and have fun!

And yeah, I'll change the password next release. I know how.

Err... I've got a little table of contents at the top of the first post...
The first post is just cheated. The second one is a map that looks like an AMH map, but it's got cheats in it. The third will have AI maps, when they're released, and the fourth one has miscellaneous maps, as they're made.

mehs its quite impossible to play on the hacked map.
when u start to host, others go in to the room and start to dl,
they will go,' OMG ITS HAxXORS MAP!!!111!!' and they go off -.-
so its quite impossible....

Use the fake AMH maps? They'll see that it's a different type, so they won't be suspicious of needing to download.
