I know it doesnt matter, I have been through all this before. I know you can deprotect maps I know people can get pretty much all they want from it, but once they do they don't really have the right to go around giving it to people who cant. I'm not asking you to stop deprotecting it, I have no other way to protect my map from hackers than to try and stop it from spreading. As a map maker it annoys me everytime I see someone change my map for their personal gain or amusement.

Also, the only protection thing I have is Vexarians, I tried using widgitizer, changing it to a readme, replacing some of the files, didnt work so well.

I went out of my way to create an account on these forums and try to get you guys to take it down, give me some credit.

Edit: anyways, I tried, it's up to you if you'll remove it or not but I would prefer you did.

If they request it we will put it out for them regardless of who created it. We believe in open source projects. Blizzard has made it very clear that they also do not like protected maps as it helps people learn to create maps themselves, however, those people who have no knowledge of map making and can't access the WE to make their own changes request here. You should be happy that they enjoy your map so much that they make a request, some map makers do not get the glory to see their project getting this kind of attention. We do not place our names over your work so that people cannot see who made the map, we simply add "cheated by wc3edit.net" to show who it was cheated by and where people may come to request their maps.

We respect you for giving your opinion, but we are dedicated to serving our members and that is what we will continue to do.
