But! You don't need the Part 2. Their method is lacking.
1.Set all chat strings to 255 (count them!) spaces.
2.Set all players name to:

(copypaste until no messages are shown anywhere)
3.(optional) follow the tutorial to understand how to get rid of chat sound.
This works perfectly (irony, did the same thing for a friend about 3 days ago). You may add 3 spaces between one of |0..|r's to get nicer 'overhead name' boxes for units.
